Having listened to the ideas and opinions of professionals throughout the clinical contract research sector, CCRA has consequently developed very relevant objectives:

• To represent the views and concerns of its members to the UK government and EU legislative bodies including regulatory agencies
• To work with government agencies to support members when promoting their services abroad
• To promote the highest standards of clinical practice through a Code of Practice for members
• To promote the benefits of clinical contract research to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
• To work to safeguard the health, welfare and interests of all participants in clinical trials
• To provide networking opportunities in the UK and overseas
• To provide training courses tailored to the needs of members and to provide a learning forum for Ethics Committee members
• To provide an easily accessible communications platform for members, legislative agencies and potential volunteers, through the CCRA website
