Clinical and Contract Research Association – EU Referendum
The choice the majority of voters made in the EU Referendum was not the one that the CCRA had hoped for. It has caused, and will continue to cause, a great deal of uncertainty in the UK economy and it is not clear to anyone what the long term consequences will be to our members or the UK as a whole. Nevertheless the European Medicines Agency’s Executive Director, Guido Rasi, said that in the short term “all of the Agency’s operations and procedures will continue as before” and the fall in the pound against the euro and dollar will give our members a competitive advantage.

During this time of uncertainty the CCRA will continue to support its members and to promote the UK as the country with the highest expertise, best infrastructure and the facilities to support effective drug and device development
